FBJSL Awards $5,000 Fund Grant To Two Nonprofit Organizations

Two nonprofit organizations, Two Lives Changed and Habitat for Humanity, were awarded last week with a $5,000 Community Assistant Fund grant, given to them by the Fort Bend County Junior Service League.

The FBJSL is an organization of women who are committed to promoting volunteerism and developing the potential of women, by taking effective actions and leadership. 

Their Community Assistant Fund can provide grants of up to $5,000 per League year, per agency, to local Fort Bend nonprofits that need financial support to fund a critical need, pilot a program or expand a significant service to the community, as reported by the Houston Chronicle. 

Two Lives Changed, will purchase diapers, wipes and meals for young mothers seeking support. Habitat for Humanity will buy a new box truck for its ReStore donation pick up program. A project that helps them fund critical home repair projects in the community.
