Teqball Professional Players Give Live Demonstration For Texas Character Education Week

In 2019, Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared the first-ever Texas Character Education Week, November 15 through 21. 2021 would mark the third consecutive year this program will take place in partnership with the School of Science and Technology. 

As the organizing partner of the Texas Character Education Week, the School of Science and Technology joined forces with more than 30 other organizations including the Houston Community College System, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, University of Houston College of Education, Rice University Mathematics Project, Character.org, to promote the importance of character education and development in PreK-12 students. 

The School of Science and Technology (SST) holds events to celebrate the Annual Texas Character Education Week and runs the global “Color the World with Character Poster Drive”.

Last year they received 3266 student entries from all over the world; Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ukraine, Venezuela, and the United States (Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Texas, and Utah). 

One of the international partners of the poster drive is Teqball, a football (soccer)- based sport. Who last year gave a table donation to SST Advancement campus due to last year’s poster drive. 

On December 10, 2021, between 10:00 -10:40 AM, Teqball professional players will have a live demonstration at SST Advancement.
