Amid Abuse Allegations in Fort Bend Home, Judge Grants Protective Order Against Tom Hank’s Son

After making headlines this week for his social media posts declaring “white boy summer” Chester Hanks, the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, made headlines again. But this time over abuse allegations.

Better known as “Chet”, the actor was barred from possessing a handgun and ordered to cease contact with his ex-girlfriend after threatening to kill her and himself.

According to Hank’s ex-girlfriend, he first became violent in October 2020 while filming the Showtime series “Your Honor” in New Orleans.

The affidavit reads, that following an argument over dinner decisions and whether they would go out or order food to their hotel room, when she attempted to leave their hotel room, he grabbed her arm, threw a bottle at her, and dragged her from the door.

“On or about December 22, 2020, Chet returned to our home in Sugarland. The next week things turned dark, he told me he would blow ‘blow my brains out’ and that he didn’t want to live and would ‘blow his brains out’ as well. I had my nine-year old twins in the house with us” she writes in her statement.

Additionally to having called her a “ghetto Black b—h” and other “hurtful things” breaking her backpack and her cellphone after he grabbed her and swung her, Chet also threatened her with a knife and physically abused her several times, according to the document.

As reported by Insider News, a Fort Bend County judge on January 14 granted the protective order against Hanks, writing “that family violence has occurred, was committed by Chester Marlon Hanks, and there is a clear and present danger that family violence committed by Chester Marlon Hanks is likely to occur again in the future, unless restrained by the Court.”
