Earlier this week, a mother and her child were in a mobile home accident caused by a tornado. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, both were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital with no life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place near the intersection of Burnett and Battle Road in Beasley.
The neighbors told KHOU 11, that they had never experienced something like that and were shocked that it happened right next door.
“I was kind of surprised to see all the damage, the trailers flipped over and so forth,” the neighbor said. “It’s a miracle — looking at all the damage and what occurred there — it’s a miracle no one was severely hurt.”
Later on, the National Weather Service confirmed it was an F-1 tornado. They use radar and the pattern of the damage to determine the strength of the storm.
