Fort Bend County’s Judge, KP George has invited Disney to move to their town if it decides to part ways with Florida.
George sent a letter to Disney CEO Bob Chapek inviting his company to Fort Bend County.
“From Timone & Pumba to Tinker Bell, Disney characters are as diverse as Fort Bend County families. I welcome Disney to visit Fort Bend County as your next destination while you face attacks from the modern day political extremists like @RonDeSantisFL,” said George.
The letter comes shortly after Florida’s Republican governor and Republican lawmakers dissolved the company’s special district around the resort that allowed it to, in essence, act as its own government.
Fort Bend County has recently received massive investments from other major companies including, Amazon, Texas Instruments and Comcast – making the county an ideal place for economic development.
According to WFAA, Judge George still hasn’t received a response.
